Conversation Strategies for Talking With Young People About Healthy Relationships

Share

Overview

This training provides youth-supporting professionals with information on healthy adolescent relationships and tips for applying this information in practice. The training focuses on key elements of healthy relationships—including communication, consent, shared power, and boundaries/limits—and discusses considerations for navigating youth relationships in the context of technology. While technology can facilitate community and connection for young people, it is important that youth-supporting professionals be aware of things like sexual cyberbullying, misinformation, and disinformation. We hope this training, designed both for individuals and for those in a group setting, helps users create space for reflection and to model respect for young people. The training includes a handout to help professionals practice the skills discussed throughout the training.
